I was able to get all of my medical paperwork submitted on time! I am so glad to be done with all of that. Now I am just waiting back for my medical clearance. This part of the process is the longest it seems. Just waiting to hear IF you can go. I foresee no problems of course, but it still sucks to wait.

Hello again! Just thought `I would check in. I am scanning in all my medical records today. All I need to do now is have my eye exam and gather supplies! For my birthday I got a couple of exoffcio bras, some rosebud salve, a soap holder, my hennessy hammock  and a small solar charger!

My facebook group reminded me that I need to update my blog! The newest news is that I got my physical and vaccines a couple of weeks ago. It was a bit of a stressful visit. The doctor came in and talked to me about any issues I had ant then in the span of approximately five minuets, three nurses came in and took blood samples, gave my vaccines, Paps test, and physical, all at the same time! It was a little crazy lol. Still no results from the tests, I am guessing that I checked out ok. I also had a skype get together with my fellow Zambia training class, that went great, they seem like a cool crew. It helped to take away some of the stress I was feeling. Now I am reading some survival manuals and as always keeping up on my Zambia knowledge.

I got a list from my visa of days that the US embassy is closed, which could potentially mean holidays I get off.

I got a new computer today compliments of Tan! It is the HP envy, it is very lightweight due to the fact that it does not a CD drive,but I don't think I'll be using that much these days anyway. It has windows 8, which is pretty new to me, but I'm getting used to it. I also have a new skype account, so please send me your skype info. Not a lot of new Peace Corps news to report. I sent in for my diplomatic passport today. Sadly this does not come with car tags. :/ Next is  a dreaded dentist appointment and then shots. I did find two dentists here who will do my exam for free! Thank you peace corps discounts!

So today, at 1:20 I got my official location assignment! I am going to Zambia! I am attaching a picture of my welcome book. In it is the information on contact with me and my mailing address during training.I leave for staging, in USA training on February 3rd.

New blog.

So this is just a blog that will hopefully make it easier for me to communicate my peace corps experience with everyone. It is a little early, ok a lot early. But I wanted to play around with it and see how this works. I just learned today that I am leaving in Jan-March of next year. So now I am just wasting time until next year. No word yet on where I am going.
